Butch Walker was born in 1969, and was raised in Georgia. He formed a band, Badd Boyz, and played in local venues. The band did not receive much attention. He disbanded Badd Boyz and then formed a new band, Byte the Bullet. His new band was still flying under the radar until he took a chance and moved to Los Angeles.

Originally named Byte the Bullet, Los Angeles-based rock band Southgang are well known for their 1991 single “Tainted Angel.” With charismatic lead guitarist Butch Walker creating catchy hooks, the band released two albums that were popular among fans of the glam metal genre.
When Southgang disbanded in the mid 90s, Walker went on to play in other bands, most notably Marvelous 3. The band included other former members of Southgang and played with a more lighthearted sound. Where Butch Walker And Band Members Came From

Butch Walker was part of the band SouthGang along with vocalist Jesse Harte, Jayce Fincher, and Mitch McLee. Originally called Byte the Bullet. They were from Atlanta and considered glam metal. They did not have the great success they may have been searching for, but did get some airplay on MTV for the song “Tainted Angel”. Why Butch Walker Sings the Music He Does

Butch Walker has always marched to the beat of his own drum. Music is in his soul and he has been in countless bands, many of which I have the albums for including SouthGang and Marvelous 3. I also love his solo stuff. He has stated numerous times over the years that he doesn’t really listen to the radio and doesn’t write and sing songs based on what is popular in the world. Butch Walker and South Gang are a metal band that flourished in the 80’s and 90’s. Butch Walker is the lead guitarist and most influential and recognizable member of the band. They were part of the spiked haired rock bands that were the trend in this era.
The members also include Jesse Harte with the vocals, Jayce Fincher on bass guitar, and Mitch Mclee on drums. Butch Walker, an American artist,songwriter,and record producer, was born on November 14, 1969.From the late 80s to early 90s, he was the leader of the South Gang, a metal band,and Marvelous 3, rock band. He was raised in Cartersville, Georgia, he started his career with South Gang. South Gang released two albums before splitting up.As a child he struggled with dyslexia. He had weight problems. Butch Walker And The Music Does He Sings?

Butch Walker, born Bradley Glenn Walker, is a singer, songwriter, and producer. In one of his first bands, SouthGang, he was not the lead vocalist. He was the guitar player who would sometimes sing behind lead singer Jesse Harte. Right after his time with SouthGang he was then in a band called Marvelous 3 with two of the musicians from his first band.
